Where Have I Been?

So it's been a very busy past week.

Trying to run a daily blog in December, with so much holiday hullabaloo, was already pretty intense.

Throw in a death in the family, though, and that made the whole operation grind to a halt!

My grandfather passed away at the age of 93 - I never called him 'grandfather' by name, though, he was always my 'morfar', which is Danish for grandfather.  Why is this significant? Well, Denmark is the home of LEGO, and so my ties to LEGO have always been deeply rooted to my morfar.

He was an exceptional craftsman, and he loved the versatility of LEGO.  One of the last things he said to me was "I think I will be by your side every day for the rest of your life."  I know I will always remember him, especially when I'm building LEGO.

So now, it is December 20th, and my last update was December 9th!  How do I make up for this? I have 15 days of entries, and 5 days (including today) to go!  Well... looks like we'll be doing 3 entries a day for the next 5 days!

So rest in peace, Morfar, and let's get back to doing what we both loved - building LEGO!
